We started our day early, packing delicious homemade food—rice wrapped in leaves, fresh fruits, 'ayam kampung' and of course, snacks. With baskets full and spirits high, we made our way to Bunut by long boat. It takes less than 10 minutes from Naa Buat.
Located by a crystal-clear river and surrounded by lush greenery, Bunut provides the ideal setting for a relaxing day out. Whether you prefer sitting under the shade of tall trees, enjoying a BBQ by the riverbank, or taking a refreshing dip in the cool waters, this place has something for everyone.
Upon arrival, we found the perfect spot near the riverbank. The tall trees provided shade, and the cool breeze made everything feel even more relaxing. We laid out mats for sitting. Some of us immediately started setting up a BBQ pit, while the children ran excitedly towards the river for a swim.
No picnic at Bunut is complete without a delicious meal. Grilling fresh fish, enjoying homemade dishes, and sharing snacks with loved ones make the experience even more special. There’s something about eating outdoors that makes everything taste better!
As the afternoon sun began to soften, we took a slow walk along the river, enjoying the beauty of Bunut. The water was so clear that we could see small fish swimming, and the chirping of birds added to the calming atmosphere. Before packing up, we made sure to leave the place just as we found it—clean and untouched, respecting nature’s beauty.
It was a day well spent, and as we headed home, we all agreed—Bunut would always be one of our favorite places to relax, recharge, and create wonderful memories.
